Effect of fertilization with Compost and Humus on the crop yield of Loctao “Vigna radiata L.”, in Guadalupe, La Libertad

Abstract

The present investigation, “Effect of fertilization with Compost and Humus in the cultivation of Loctao “Vigna radiata L.”, is carried out Guadalupe, La Libertad .The completely randomized design (DCA) was used in a total area of 25.5m2, 7.5m2 per treatment (3 furrows of 3m, 0.7m between furrows and 0.4m on the edge; and 4 seeds per stroke at 0.30m between strokes), using three treatments T0, T1 and T2; in which 1.5Kg of Humus per linear treatment for treatment T1 and 1.5Kg of Compost per linear meter for treatment T2 were applied at the time of sowing, while in treatment T0 there was no fertilization. After 88 days, the harvest was carried out (taking two treatment rows as a valid sample) and seed weight data were collected (to which an analysis of variance and Tukey's test of means was carried out), pod weight, percentage of seed weight in pod weight and yield per hectare. Obtaining results that the most efficient treatment in Loctao seed weight statistically was obtained in treatment T2 and treatments T0 and T1 are statistically equal according to Tukey's test of means with a margin of error of (α=0.05).
