The natural and cultural resources of the Andean districts of the province of Huaura and their geotourism potential.

Abstract

Objectives: To determine how the natural and cultural resources of the Andean districts of the province of Huaura shape their geoturistic potential. Materials and Methods: Qualitative, non-experimental and exploratory, descriptive and explanatory approach; The natural elements or geoforms and the most significant cultural expressions that make up the geoturistic potential of the Andean districts such as Amber, Checras, Leoncio Prado, Paccho, Santa Leonor and Sayán of the province of Huaura are considered, both as population and sample. Bibliographic, hemographic and documentary research used from public and private repositories in Lima; collection of observation sheets of the natural and cultural resources of each of the Andean districts of the province of Huaura, collection of testimonies and audiovisual records, application of interviews and questionnaires to valid authorities and informants. Results: The natural and cultural resources of the Andean districts of the province of Huaura, contribute to the geoturistic potential; they have conditions to facilitate the Rural Community Tourism (TRC), mainly taking advantage of the forms of organization in rural communities of the population, the practices of adventure tourism, ecological, ecotourism and mountaineering that, properly oriented, become opportunities for development sustainable. Conclusions: The Andean districts of the province of Huaura have conditions to facilitate the development of rural tourism in its various expressions, taking advantage of its attractions. The natural and cultural resources of the Andean districts of the province of Huaura can be used as a geotouristic resource and contribute to their economic development. All these resources, natural and cultural, to be identified, rescued, conserved and revalued by rural villages can allow you to move forward despite the lack of infrastructure to develop tourism activity; and then progress little by little as it already glimpses.
