Objective: To demonstrate the relationship between leadership styles and the organizational commitment of the directors of the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University, 2018. Material and Methods: The research used was of an Applied type, with a non-experimental, transactional, descriptive and correlational design. The population was 74 directors of the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University, the sample to apply the survey considered 62 directors at random, in which the variables: Leadership Styles and Organizational Commitment have been used. Results: indicate that 54.8% (34) of the transformational leadership respondents are located in the medium alternative and 37.10% (23) reach the high alternative. For transactional leadership, 45.2% (28) reach the medium alternative and 27.4% (17) reach the high alternative. Finally, for the passive leadership style, 61.29% (38) reach the medium alternative and 25.81% (16) reach the high alternative. For affective commitment, 50% (31) of the respondents reach the medium alternative and 41.9% (26) reach the high alternative. For the commitment below, the results indicate that 54.84% (34) reach a medium alternative and 37.1% (23) reach a high alternative. Finally, for the normative commitment, 54.8% (34) reach a medium alternative and 38.7% (24) reach a high alternative. Conclusion: The research concludes that there is a significant relationship between the Leadership Styles and the Organizational Commitment of the directors of the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University.Downloads
