Abstract

Objective: Determine to what extent the appropriate use of ICT improves the academic performance of 6th “C” students in the area of mathematical logic of the I.E. José Abelardo Quiñones N° 1138 of the ATE district, 2019. Method: The research carried out corresponds to an applied, deductive research, with a quantitative approach. The design is quasi-experimental, with two groups to which a pretest and posttest were applied; The sample was 50 students. The data were processed through the SPSS statistical package, measures of central tendency were calculated. Student's "t" was applied to test each hypothesis. Results: The difference in means was 4.79, with respect to the hypothesis according to the p-value of Student's t, significant differences were found, so the means are not equal. Conclusions: It is evident that the use of ICT significantly improves the academic performance of the logicalmathematical area of the sixth grade “C” students, since differences were found when comparing the means of the tests and post-tests, finding 4.79. points.
