Objective: To analyze the subgrade soil stabilization using sugarcane molasses (Saccharum officinarum) in the rural settlement of El Sol, Huaura, Lima, in 2022. Methods: This was an applied research study with a descriptiveexplanatory design and a quantitative approach. The study included 12 soil specimens compacted in molds following the CBR test procedure (ASTM D-1883). Sugarcane molasses was added in proportions of 2 %, 4 %, and 6 % by dry weight to evaluate its effect on soil bearing capacity. Results: Soil bearing capacity increased by 4.32 % and 1.72 % for the 2 % and 4 % molasses additions, respectively, whereas a 6 % addition resulted in a -3.56 % decrease. Conclusions: Sugarcane molasses improves soil bearing capacity when used in moderate proportions. The 2 % addition increased resistance by 4.32 %, while the 4 % addition resulted in a smaller 1.72 % increase. However, the 6 % addition led to a -3.56 % reduction. The 2 % proportion is optimal for improving soil stability without compromising its mechanical properties.Downloads
