Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and university coexistence in students of the Professional School of Administration of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the National University José Faustino Sánchez Carrion in the 2016 academic year. Method and material: The research design used was descriptive-correlational. The sample consisted of 112 subjects who were given the Baron instrument to obtain information on emotional intelligence. Information about university coexistence was also collected, using a questionnaire of 30 items. Results: The findings indicated that there is a direct and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and university coexistence in students of the School of Administration. due to the correlation of Spearman Which resulted in a value of 0,651, representing a good association. With respect to the dimensions of intrapersonal relations and university coexistence, the Spearman correlation had a value of 0,594, representing a moderate association. With respect to the dimension of interpersonal relations and university coexistence, Spearman's correlation had a value of 0,519, representing a moderate association. It is also possible to affirm that there is a direct and significant relationship between stress management and university coexistence in the students of the School of Administration of the Faculty of Business Sciences, due to the Spearman correlation that returned a value of 0,610, representing a Good partnership. Conclusion: Finally, there is a direct and significant relationship between the state of mind and university coexistence, since Spearman correlation resulted in a value of 0,553, representing a moderate association.
